How WP Empire Builder came to be - the story behind it:

My name is George Katsoudas and I have been an active affiliate marketer for 9 years. WP Empire Builder was a plugin that I initially created for my own use. I was launching one affiliate blog after the other, but I was getting tired of uploading the same themes and plugins again and again.

I mean, after you find a winning formula, you want to use it again and again. I KNEW how a successful affiliate blog was supposed to look like and function, but I wasn't "putting them out there" as often as I should, because I dreaded the whole set up process.

I wanted to spend my time doing the "fun" stuff (like market research) and not installing wordpress or uploading plugins and themes. After all, that's boring stuff that you can hire someone to do for $5/hour.

I noticed that many other affiliate marketers had the same problem, so I decided to make WP Empire Builder available to the fellow marketers.

Having 1 successful affiliate blog is good. Having 30 is even better. WP Empire Builder allows you to "mass produce" affiliate blogs that share the same "pool" of themes and plugins...

5 great reasons to add WP Empire Builder to your arsenal:

1) No need to install Wordpress again and again and again or clone it. Do it ONCE and be done with it. You can then add new blogs to your network very easily. Launch one blog after the other in record time...

2) No need to login to cPanel again and again. Just enter your cPanel login credentials in the plugin ONCE. It will set up the new domains, subdomains or subdirectories for you automatically...

3) Forget about having to login to each blog separately and update the plugins or themes. Just update the ones in your one central blog and all the other "child blogs" in your network will "pull" the updates from the main blog automatically...

4) You don't have to deal with the traditional "Wordpress Multi-Site" set up (which can be a nightmare). For example, you don't need to edit any "config" files to enable the Multi-site abilities on your main blog. Just one click will do it. Plus, the navigation has been made super-simple, so you won't lose your way around the default "multi-site maze."

5) If needed, you can login in and out of the dashboard of your child blogs without having to remember a username and password for all...

What others like you say about WP Empire Builder:

"If you want to build a multisite empire buy this plugin..."

First The Bad News - If you don't have your Cpanel user name and password Empire Builder isn't going to work for you. That's it!!

Now The GOOD NEWS - It beats the heck out of trying to set up the WP Multisite option as it WORKS. I had one domain that I spent 3 days working on to make it a multi site with no success. Installed Empire Builder, went to create a new site, added a new sub-domain - got the message - site created- thought seen this before - accessed the site and IT WORKED.

Two things I really like about EMPIRE BUILDER

a) you can have a mix of subdirectories and subdomains you don't have to choose one or the other

b) You can set a default theme to load when you create a new site.

EMPIRE BUILDER will save you shed-loads of time. Starting with a single domain , adding the plugin and getting a new sub domain site up and running took 35 minutes. The site can be seen at http://bit.ly/J6oLAZ This is a very simply review site that could have been built even faster if I had certain pieces of information - Akismet , Amazon API code open.

If you want to build a multisite empire buy this plugin

"Creating a new blog in the network has never been easier."

Usually building your own blog network is tedious work. Going into CPanel, setting up a subdomain, installing wordpress, installing a theme, installing the needed plugins. This can take up a lot of time.

NOT ANYMORE !

Thanks to George this tedious work is a thing of the past. With WP Empire builder, his latest plugin all of the tedious work is automated and with the click of the mouse you can start building your online empire. It's based on the new WordPress Network ability which is automated with WP Empire Builder. And all blogs in the network is created by filling a form and clicking a mouse button. Creating a new blog in the network has never been easier. These blogs can be used for all different purposes, building niche sites, membership sites, sales sites, joint venture sites, etc. The possibilities are only hampered by your own imagination

If there are one plugin I can recommend, this is it. In the genre of automation tools, this is the best I have seen and have the privilege to test. It works as promised out of the box

Thanks again George.

Keep up the good work.

"Very Easy to Set-up & Use..."

Great Plugin, I never used WP Multi-site functions due to the difficult set up process, but this solved that problem. Very Easy to Set-up & Use functionality, Worked with all of the plugins I use on my sites. Only drawback is can only be used on new site creation, not with existing sites.

Thanks,

"I've always wanted to be able to add a plugin to all my sites at one time and to be able to control all of my sites from one central place..."

Super Easy install and very easy instructions. I got started right away adding my sites to the "Master Control" panel and the hardest part I had was coming up with the description of my sites so that I could remember what each was for. I know that sounds funny, but that is how easy it is even for true newbies. I've always wanted to be able to add a plugin to all my sites at one time and to be able to control all of my sites from one central place. This plug in has definately has given me that ability.

George has never disappointed me and I'm proud to say he went beyond my needs and expectations. The customer support that he has is way beyond most that I see out there today.
Grab this; It's that simple.

"this plugin will save you tons of time"

WP-Empire is a truly astounding plugin for WordPress. I had the task of creating 32 individual sites for an authority site in the music niche. I wanted self-contained WordPress sites for each music genre I am covering. Normally I would have had to login to my server, create a sub-domain for each genre, install WordPress in each sub-domain, upload a theme 32 times, upload and activate the 10 plugins I use on every site 32 times, and then proceed to build out each site. Each site would take about 30-40 minutes to create a site ready for editing.

But using WP-Empire the entire task only took about an hour, a bit less than 2 minutes per site! The user interface is intuitive, so there was no long learning curve, and it worked with all of my plugins and themes. Whether you're building 3 sites or 100, this plugin will save you tons of time. I give it my strongest endorsement.

All the best,

Scott

"If you are running multiple sites for yourself, or managing client sites, then WP Empire Builder will do the trick for you."

Disclaimer: I received a review copy of this plugin.

I am now running several WP sites and have been having trouble keeping everything up-to-date. When George mentioned his plugin, I was all over it.

This could be exactly what I've been thinking about in terms of managing all sites from one simple dashboard.

I will say, the plugin does exactly what he says. I started with a brand new domain and installed WP to use as a "cockpit" for the sites I'm running.

I had to wait until a couple of the sites were reporting updates, then went back to my new site and was able to do the updates for several sites at the same time. THIS WILL SAVE ME TONS OF TIME – and is one more thing to hand over to my VA once I have all my sites installed.

If you are running multiple sites for yourself, or managing client sites, then WP Empire Builder will do the trick for you.

"It is just simple, 1, 2, 3 and that's it"

First of all I would like to thanks George for letting me review WP Empire Builder plugin. This is a very simple to use and yet powerful plugin. It takes out all the hassle of using WP multi site. It is just simple, 1, 2, 3 and that's it. It is a tremendous time saver. I remember to have bought last year a great WSO with a set of videos to learn to create a WP multi site. It was a bit complicated. WP Empire Builder plugin make it really easy.

Thank you George for another great plugin! :-)

"If only I'd had this plugin 50 domains ago, managing my sites would be so much easier."

Amazing! Just the plugin I've been looking for... managing multiple sites has never been easier. It doesn't matter whether you want to expand your blog's reach to multiple directories, subdomains, or unique domains- with this, you can manage them easily from one place. If only I'd had this plugin 50 domains ago, managing my sites would be so much easier. I know how I'm managing the next 50!

"godsend of a plugin"

WP Empire Builder is awesome, i purchased a new domain to test this on as per your instructions and it worked like a charm, i had to play around with it for a while but once it was working it was awesome. It has saved me many hours updating my blogs and plugins etc. This is the type of plugin ive been waiting for George.

Im pretty sure that for what this does to peoples WP blogs they will snap it up. I can now use 1 login and operate all my blogs from there instead of keep logging in and out of my blogs manually, now it is on automatic and has shaved hours off my wp update time.

Thank you so much George, only you could create such a godsend of a plugin like this.

Alan

"I've hesitated to go multi site because of the complications, this solves that issue"

This is as straight forward and simple a plugin to implement as you can get.

George has done it again. This plugin enables you to activate WP Multi site with virtually one step. I've hesitated to go multi site because of the complications, this solves that issue. A simple install from your WP blog, enter your cpanel information and you are able to add any domain you have on your hosting platform.

The updates are also done thru the WP plugin interface using upgrademe which George supplies. There are a lot of features in this package. You can control themes, plugins and manage your sites from one control panel.rating 5 stars.

"Until now I thought my WP clones under 10 minutes are the fastest way to create my own WP empire - but your latest plugin proves I was wrong! :)"

Hi George,

I must say - I'm once again impressed!

Until now I thought my WP clones under 10 minutes are the fastest way to create my own WP empire - but your latest plugin proves I was wrong! :)

In under 10 minutes I'm able to create tens of blogs - all with the same themes and plugins ready to rock! This is a HUGE time saver and will allow me to grow my network of powerful blogs even faster.

Now when I add your other plugins to the whole play - you can't beat the power!

Many thanks,

This plugin will definitely make all those WordPress users still hesitating in making the step towards a multisite network make a big jump and not just a step

This plugin will definitely make all those WordPress users still hesitating in making the step towards a multisite network make a big jump and not just a step!!!

Despite the fact it's very easy to use and setup with one click (true just 1 click...) it offers lots of features and will satisfy both multisite beginners and experienced users using CPanel hosting. WP Empire Builder even offers more possibilities than a classic multisite like creating blogs/sites in subdomains as well in subdirectories (a classic multisite network only allows one setting subdomains or subdirectories...) this feature alone is worth having the plugin and any marketer will appreciate this.

One click site creation, theme and plugin management, updates everything is here to administer your empire George has offered us lots of nice plugins in the past and this time he has done it again, thanks for this great plugin!

Good luck for your new product launch !

Best regards,

Eric Koch

"I am NOT a "Tech Guy" and the WP-Empire Builder made it intuitive and straight forward to add new sites and manage existing sites..."

I installed your new Empire Builder plugin on a new blog and it was very easy to use.

This is a great tool for anyone who wants to manage multiple blogs and multiple plugins from one place.

I found it simple to use the Multiple WP blog features from one dashboard. I am NOT a "Tech Guy" and the WP-Empire Builder made it intuitive and straight forward to add new sites and manage existing sites. More important for me I found it very helpful to be able to install my plug-ins for a number of sites in one place and manage them there.

Any online marketer that uses multiple blogs, hosted on a cPanel host, will be able to save time, effort and be far more organized using this new WP-Empire Builder plug-in.

Keep up the good work!

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is "Wordpress Multisite" anyway?

When Wordpress 3.0 was made available, you could also upgrade your blog to "Multisite" version, if you modified the HTML of some config files manually. Wordpress multisite allows you to create a network of blogs, all powered by one initial Wordpress installation. Wordpress multi-site is what some of the top super-affiliates "in the know" are already using. That's how they launch so many blogs so fast. Wordpress multisite will be the "hot trend" in affiliate circles in the coming months.

Will I have to create a multi-site installation in order to use the plugin?

No. That's the whole point of the plugin. It upgrades your blog to multisite version with just one click. Actually, it does something even better: It upgrades your blog to a custom, intuitive, easy-to-use version of multi-site.

Should I install the plugin on an existing blog or a new one?

Preferably, you would install WP Empire Builder on a NEW domain that will act as the "command center" for all the child blogs you add to your netowrk later. Please do NOT install the plugin on one of your existing blogs that already has tons of content and plugins in it, or it can get very confusing for you later. Plus, turning your blog back to "normal" can be somewhat complicated if you are not familiar with HTML. Just have one domain (even a cheap ".info" one) and install WP Empire Builder on there.

Can I install WP Empire Builder in an existing WP Multisite setup to make everything easier to manage?

Yes, if you have "path-based" WP Multisite. WP Empire Builder can be installed on an existing "path-based" WP Multisite (where child sites are subdirectories). Those subdirectories could be converted into domains and subdomains with WP Empire Builder. At the moment, installation on top of subdomain-based WP Multisite is not supported.

Can I install WP Empire Builder on a subdomain and have that as the command center?

Yes you can. If you then create a child site as a subdomain, it will be a subdomain of "domain.com", for example site1.domain.com, site2.domain.com (not site2.subdomain.domain.com). Top-level domains will be added as addon domains.

What happens if I uninstall WP Empire Builder and then I install it again?

Once you uninstall it, your blog will return to a default Wordpress multi-site setup (it won't turn back into a "mere mortal" blog :-). However, all the easy navigation will be lost. If you later reactivate the plugin, everything will turn back the way it was - the plugin will remember all its previous settings.

I have used multisite in the past and I found the navigation very confusing.

Tell me about it. You need to have a GPS device or be a brain surgeon to navigate through the DEFAULT Wordpress multisite installation. WP Empire Builder creates a CUSTOM multisite set up with super-easy navigation. All you need can be accessed from a single admin screen.

Can I use the plugin to manage existing blogs?

The whole idea of Wordpress Multisite is to create a network of blogs that share the same Wordpress database. If you have already set up a blog before, then it means that that partictular blog has a Wordpress database of its own and can't be a part of the "network." That said, you can still set up a new child blog in your network and then import the content of your previous "stand-alone" blog in that new "child blog." You can only import the content (not the plugins or themes). You can find instructions to do this here. We are already working on a feature that will automate this process!

Will I be able to upgrade my Wordpress version when a new one becomes available?

Yes you should. WP Empire Builder doesn't interfere with that process at any point. If you are unable to upgrade, there can be several other reasons why. For example, maybe you unintentionally modified some files manually, or another plugin did this, or even the host uses a modified WordPress package in their Fanatstico installation. If for some reason you aren't able to upgrade, please first contact your host about it.

Is the process of logging in and out of my blogs secure?

Yes. Unlike other solutions that have you install a separate plugin in each blog, and that leave up security backdoors for others to exploit, you are actually updating everything from within your own server's database. No "data transmission out in the open" occurs at any point.

Why do I need to enter my cPanel login info in the plugin?

When you launch a new Wordpress blog in a subdomain or a totally new domain, you always need to first create those in your cPanel (or via FTP). But it's VERY easy to misunderstand what needs to be entered in some fields (we learned this while beta-testing the plugin). WP Empire Builder uses the cPanel API to automate this process for you. The cPanel info stays within your server. At NO point are the cPanel credentials shown "out in the open." This is an "inside job." :-). Note: you can also add a child blog as a subdirectory in WP Empire Builder (but the cPanel automation isn't needed for that). Finally, WE DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR CPANEL CREDENTIALS! (sorry for shouting - just making it crystal clear :-))

Can the child sites be on a completely different server?

No, they cannot. Your network of blogs needs to be on a single server that has cPanel (95% of hosts have it).

How do I know if my host has cPanel?

If you are unsure, just go to: your-site.com/cpanel - if your host has cPanel, the cPanel login page will appear. If your host doesn't have cPanel, here are some hosts that do: Hostgator, Blue Hosting, Lunar Pages, Just Host.

Will WP Empire Builder work with Godaddy hosting?

Godaddy have their own unique hosting admin panel, so THE CPANEL API INTEGRATION FORM DOES NOT WORK THERE.

You can still create subdomains, add or park domains manually in Godaddy hosting admin and point them to the WP network installation directory before adding them to WP network.

Note: Same goes for any host not using cPanel. All added domains/subdomains must point to the SAME directory, which is the directory you installed the main blog in (the one you uploaded WP Empire Builder on.

Godaddy have their own unique hosting admin panel, so the CPANEL INTEGRATION FEATURE DOES NOT WORK THERE - sorry for the caps - just trying to make it clear :-)

You can still can create subdomains, add or park domains manually in Godaddy hosting admin and point them to the WP network installation directory before adding them to WP network.

Note: Same goes for any host not using cPanel. All added domains/subdomains must point to the SAME directory, which is the directory you installed the main blog in (the one you uploaded WP Empire Builder on.

First, you must find the directory (folder) on your hosting where the WP network is installed. For example, if your main blog is some-domain.com, then that folder would be something like: "public_html/some-domain"

COPY AND PASTE this path as document root for any (sub-)domain added to the network.

Will WP Empire Builder work on reseller hosting?

If you use reseller hosting, keep in mind that each installation of WP Empire Builder can only work on ONE cPanel. This means that all the child blogs of your network will need to be on the same cPanel.

Also, some hosts restrict certain functions for reseller accounts (like automated domain configuration requests via cPanel API for example).

If for whatever reason you see that the domain of your child blog isn't configured properly by WP Empire Builder, please ask your host about this and see if they can enable this function.

Do I need to register a new domain, if I want a new child blog to be on its own domain?

Yes. You will still need to register a domain, as usual, and point its nameservers to your host. You won't need to add the domain to your cPanel though. WP Empire Builder will do this automatically.

How many new child blogs can I add to my network?

If you add them as subdirectories, then unlimited. If you add them as subdomains or new domains, then there may be a limit by your host. Most hosts allow you to have more domains and subdomains than you'll ever need. If you do exceed your quota, you can always contact your host to upgrade your hosting plan.

Are there any known conflicts with other plugins?

No. Do keep in mind though that some plugins may not be compatible with Wordpress multisite itself. In at least 90% of cases though, the plugins should work on a multisite environment. If a plugin doesn't work on multisite, please contact its creator to see if they can make adjustments. Multisite is the future and more and more marketers will be using it, so it makes sense to make any plugin compatible with multisite.

Do your other Wordpress plugins work with Multi Site?

Yes, they do.

Do I need to have the same plugins and active theme on all my child blogs?

No! You can still upload individual plugins separately to a particular child blog, or use a different theme on any of the child blogs. No limitations.

I use Wordpress multisite to run a membership site or manage websites for clients. Will WP Empire Builder work for this?

Yes! There's a "checkbox option" called "Allow child site owners to manage plugins and themes". When this option is UNchecked, this will mean that only you, logged in as "super admin" will be able to manage plugins and themes from the dashboards of child blogs. The users or admins of the child blogs will not be able to manage the plugins and themes.

When you upgraded your blog from "normal" to the "Empire Version" (customized Wordpress Multisite), you as an "admin" became automatically "promoted" to super admin (now that's a cool-sounding title!). The "Empire Builder" tab on the left will always be visible for you as well (even when you are logged in one of the child blogs, so you can find your way back to the WP Empire Builder admin screen easily.

What are the best uses for WP Empire Builder?

The best uses for WP Empire Builder are:

1) if you want to run many affiliate blogs that you control
2) if you want to create and maintain (including host) blogs for many clients
3) if you want to create many niche sites and eventually sell the entire network of sites.

Will cloning or "backup" plugins work with WP Empire Builder?

Depends on whether the plugin in question is multi-site enabled or not. For example, the latest version of "Backup Buddy" is compatible. Please contact the developers of the cloning/backup plugin you are using to ask them if it's multi-site enabled, or if they can make it be so.

Will I get any updates after I purchase?

All customers receive free life-time upgrades. We continually add new features and improve our plugins. Some of these modifications are pretty costly too - however you will never pay for any upgrades. We support our plugins and we support our customers.

Who are you and why should I buy from you?

My name is George Katsoudas. I've been marketing online for 9 years. I'm obsessed with taking complex processes and simplifying them as much as possible. For the last 3 years I have been focusing on developing Wordpress plugins. At this point I feel I have the entire process down and know exactly how to develop a plugin that adds real value, is easy to use and free of bugs. I aim to create happy customers, one at a time - and hope we can have a long-term business relationship together.

What if I purchased the personal license and now I want to have the developer's license?

You can upgrade. Just open a support ticket. Include your initial Paypal purchase receipt as well. I'll get back to you ASAP and tell you how to upgrade :-)

How can I get customer support?

Sometimes, things happen. A server may not be configured properly to work with the plugin, or you may just feel "lost." No worries :-). Just open a support ticket and I'll solve your problem for you in less than 24 hours (may be a bit more on the weekends).
